Every year during the months of July and August tensions rise in Cyprus and the bitter realities of the existing division show their face. These months are the aniversaries of bloodshed.

People who believe in a peaceful solution to the Cyprus problem should raise their voices during these months and confront the chauvenist rhetoric. Peace-Cyprus.Org believes in grass-roots participation in peace-building. Therefore, we have called for the endorsement of the following petition.

The petition has been signed by more than 400 people and 6 organizations whose full list can be found here. It is being faxed/e-mailed to media in Cyprus, Turkey and Greece and to the international media. It is also being faxed/e-mailed to political organisations, NGO's and international bodies.
