AKEL, yeniden yakinlasmadan memnun 
 
AKEL, önceki gün yaptigi açiklamada, yeniden yakinlasma etkinliklerini memnuniyetle
karsiladigini belirtti. Simerini gazetesine göre, AKEL, iki toplum arasindaki
temaslarin ve daha ziyade ortak faaliyetlerin "devletin ve Kibris halkinin bütünlük
duygularini güçlendirdigine ve iki toplumun birlikte yasayamayacagi yönündeki
propaganda ve Denktas'in politikasini tersyüz ettigine" inandigini da
kaydetti. AKEL, gelecek cumartesi günü Pergama'da (Beyarmudu) yapilacak etkinlige
katilinmasi konusunda herkese çagrida da bulundu. Fileleftheros gazetesine göre,
AKEL Genel Sekreteri Hristofyas, "ortak köprüler" kurulmasi yönünde herkesi göreve
de çagirdi. Hristofyas, Kibris Türk ve Rumlarinin toplu temaslarini
"hararetle" destekledigini de belirtti.

to Simerini AKEL stated that these actions make the point that the two communities
can live together stronger. AKEL secretary general further called everybody to
attend the Villagers Reunion meeting on July 1st. He called everybody to help form
'bridges' between the two communities.
