A site about my village, Louroudjina (also
spelled as Louroudjina or Louroudzina), located in the district of
Nicosia. In 1950s Turkish Cypriots renamed it as Akıncılar.

site featuring persons whom I think: (a) have made valuable contributions to the cultural development of Cypriot people. (By Cypriots I mean Turkish Cypriots, Greek Cypriots, Cypriot Maronites, and Cypriot Armenians. In my opinion they are all an integral and indivisible part of our cultural mosaic. Also it is important to note here that some British authors and researchers made invaluable contributions to the uncovering and learning Cyprus' past. Some of them investigated into our environment and published very valuable findings about our environment. I am working on compiling a list of those who have done and are still doing this kind of work. (b) have contributed to the uncovering, preserving, cultivating, and promoting our cultural traditions and values, (c) were/are staunch supporters of a peaceful and just solution to the Cyprus problem, have no prejudices, and have respect for human and democratic values. |
