Neriman Cahit, a writer and journalist since 1955 was born in Kırnı (Pınarbaşı) village, Kyrenia, Cyprus. She worked as a pimary school teacher for many years. Her articles were published in many magazines and daily newspapers and continues to write articles social issues in particular on women issues, peace and environment. She has won eleven prizes for her works. She is a conflict resolutionist and a peace activist.
